I'm Aliki — a Melbourne-based contemporary artist creating vibrant, expressive works that sit at the intersection of colour, intuition, and design.

From Fashion to Fine Art

My creative journey began in fashion design, where I developed a deep understanding of colour theory, trend forecasting, and the art of visual storytelling. That foundation never left me. Today, it quietly shapes every canvas I work on — in the way I layer tones, balance composition, and respond to the energy of a moment. Fashion taught me that beauty lives in the details, and that instinct is just as powerful as technique.

A Free-Flowing, Intuitive Practice

My painting style is spontaneous and free-flowing. I don't begin with a rigid plan — I begin with a feeling. Inspired by the world around me — the geometry of architecture, the organic rhythms of nature, the richness of textiles, and the warmth of interior spaces — I let the work evolve organically on the canvas. Each piece is a conversation between intention and instinct.

I work primarily in acrylics and mixed media, building layers of colour and texture that invite the viewer to look closer, to feel something, to find their own meaning within the work.

My work is showcased in galleries and interior retailers across Australia, I'm proud to be part of a growing contemporary art scene that values original, handcrafted work — and I'm deeply grateful to the collectors who bring my paintings into their homes and spaces.
